Message
As the white morning haze that follows the rain hung over Mt. Hakuba the wind parted the early morning mist as if to divide the world in two, little by little spreading out below mountainside.
A new view emerged bathed in the light; this colorful alpine scene makes an appearance as color is called back to this formerly black and white world.
Light and shadow and color and wind weave the ever-changing "Ki" (Spirit). I’ve put myself into the beauty of such a mysterious awe. This "valuable experience of Mt. Hakuba," together with the experience of childhood in the Lake Country, became the origin of my creative activities. It can be said of all my work that regardless of materials or methods, rather than trying to conform to something, I follow something that exists in my environment and heart.
雨上がりの白く朝もやの立ち込めた白馬岳早朝霧の広がる世界が風に吹き分けられた様に２分され、少しずつ眼下に広がっていく山肌。
現れた視界に光が差し込み、色とりどりの高山植物が姿を現しモノトーンだった世界に色彩を呼び戻す。
光と影と色と風が織りなす刻々と変化する「 気 」。
その様な神秘的な畏敬の美しさの中に身を置いた事があった。
その「白馬岳での貴重な体験」は、湖国での幼少時代の体験と共に、私の制作活動の原点になっています。
代表作では貴重な体験から、自然と同化し、風を受けて動き出した時に真価を発揮する作品群。
その後の、生命力・水・大地等の宇宙的なエネルギーをダイナミックに表現した作品群。
私の作品全てに言える事は、材料や方法にこだわらずむしろ、環境や自分自身の心に在る何かを、素直に形にしようとしている事です。
